The Glory are taking over Hackney Empire in East London for their biggest and most outrageous cabaret-come-party ever with their Halloween Ball on Sat 26th. To get the party going they’ve taken the seats out in the stalls so guests have room to frollick, slut drop and sashay the night away while sloshing drinks and enjoying London’s best cabaret acts.
We got the scoop off Jonny Woo, currently in rehearsals, on his most outrageous moments that you can expect:
Madonna gets ‘Strung Up’
John Sizzle, The Glory’s very own Madame X, exhumes the ghouls of Madge’s dirty pop past, in this killer dance moment choreographed by Margo Marshall. Madonna fans beware, no legendary look will survive the gallons of fake blood. We don’t search, we slay.

Mummy-geddon
I’m going to lead an enmasse Mummy dance routine set to Kylie. But first – what are the mummies collective pronouns? A ‘misfit’, ‘muddle’ or ‘mixtape’ (???)

£1000 of free Booze!
Yup. You can win a Golden Bar tab by witch-synching as Kate Bush or “Wham-piring” as George Michael. Queens and Kings battle it out live and unfiltered to the death-drop. It’s going to be brutal. The crowd decides who wins.
20 drag Kate Bushes on stage at once – YAAAAAS!
Return of the 69!
It was the secret ingredient from noughties club night ‘Gay Bingo’ – and yes it’s a sex position. As 1000 people play a game of balls and numbers when 69 comes up one member of the crowd joins Jonny’s gang onstage to get a live 69. Make sure you shower!
Giant Cardboard Sets!
The Glory ball promises a full sized recreation of hell for their ‘Venus’ extravaganza, made from Ikea packaging and Tesco fruit boxes – all destroyed of course later in the show’s Brexit Chainsaw Massacre!
Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn gets A’Holed!
No Halloween Ball made by The Glory would be complete without Jonny doing something weird to Natalia Imbruglia. How many fireworks do you think she can take? Asking for a friend”
Myra and Sooz send up ‘Stay’
Who better to re-stage the Shakespeare’s Sister classic (the basis of the famous French & Saunders sketch) better than cabaret superstars Myra Dubois and Sooz Kempner. This vocal powerhouse performance is guaranteed to stop the show and shatter a few windows, and bring out the cats…

The Glory’s Halloween Ball is on Saturday 26th October at Hackney Empire, 291 Mare Street, E8 1EJ. Tickets available at hackneyempire.co.uk
